Terms of Service

Last updated: September 4, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Mazalot Inc. ("Mazalot," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Mazalot mobile application and related services (the "App"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Please note two things up front. Section 6 explains that Mazalot is an AI companion for entertainment and personal reflection, not professional advice. Section 15 contains a binding arbitration agreement and a class-action waiver that affect how disputes with us are resolved, and a 30-day right to opt out of arbitration.

1. The service

Mazalot is a voice-first AI astrology companion for iOS and Android. You speak with it aloud; it calculates a birth chart from the birth details you provide and holds conversations rooted in that chart, remembers context between sessions, and offers related features such as reading cards, personalized meditations, and scheduled sessions. Mazalot is provided for personal reflection and entertainment only.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using the App you represent that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. The App is not intended for anyone younger.

3. Your account

You sign in with your phone number and a one-time passcode; Mazalot does not use passwords. You are responsible for maintaining access to your phone number and for activity that occurs under your account. If you add an email address to protect your account, keep it current. Notify us promptly at compliance@mazalot.ai if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Subscriptions, minutes, and billing

How billing works

The App may offer auto-renewing subscriptions and one-time minute packages. All purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not directly by Mazalot. Your purchase is also subject to the app store's terms, and payment is charged to your app-store account.

Auto-renewing subscriptions

Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price for the applicable period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple or Google account settings, not within the App. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. Where your state or country gives you a cancellation or "cooling-off" right (for example, certain U.S. states provide a short cancellation window, and consumers in the EU and UK generally have a 14-day withdrawal right), that right applies in addition to these Terms.

Minute packages: please read

Minute packages are an add-on to an active subscription. Purchased minute-package minutes are forfeited when you cancel your subscription. If your subscription ends or is canceled, any remaining package minutes are forfeited and are not refunded, credited, transferred, or restored, except where a non-waivable law requires otherwise. We state this plainly so there is no surprise: keep an active subscription to keep access to any package minutes you have purchased.

Refunds

Because purchases are handled by the app stores, refund requests are governed by Apple's and Google's refund policies and are handled through them.

Price changes

We may change prices for subscriptions and packages. Changes apply to future billing periods and purchases, and where required we will give advance notice and obtain any consent the app stores require.

5. Your content and your memory

You keep the rights you have in what you say to Mazalot. You grant us a limited license to process your conversations, voice, and inputs to operate the App, generate responses, and build your memory, as described in the Privacy Policy. Your memory is for your use within the App; we do not sell it. You can exclude a session from memory in the App, and you can delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. The companion is an AI, for entertainment only

Mazalot's companion is artificial intelligence, not a real person and not a licensed astrologer, counselor, or professional of any kind. It provides astrological reflection for personal insight and entertainment. It is not a substitute for professional advice, and it does not provide medical, mental-health, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and it does not predict the future.

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate, and you should not rely on it for any important decision. You use the App and its output at your own discretion and risk. If you are in crisis or may harm yourself or others, do not rely on the App. Contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services. In the United States you can call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline). Nothing the companion says creates a professional relationship of any kind.

7. Information about other people

If you enter another person's information (for example, birth details for a relationship or compatibility reading), you represent and warrant that you have that person's permission, or another lawful basis, to provide it. You agree to indemnify Mazalot for claims arising from information about another person that you provided without authorization. A person whose information was entered by a user may request its deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Referrals and sharing

If we offer referrals, you may invite people you know using your device's own sharing tools. You agree to invite only people who have agreed to hear from you and not to send unsolicited or bulk messages; you are responsible for your invitations, including under laws governing text messages and communications. Cards you share may include your chart-based content, so share only what you are comfortable sharing.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose;
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, interfere with, or disrupt the App or its security;
  • Access the App through automated means, or resell, rent, or commercially exploit it;
  • Upload content that infringes others' rights or is unlawful; or
  • Misrepresent your identity or provide another person's information without authorization.

10. Intellectual property

The App, including its software, design, text, and the "Mazalot" name and marks, is owned by Mazalot Inc. and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

11. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any insight it provides is accurate or reliable. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mazalot Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the App. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid through the app stores for the App in the twelve months before the claim, or US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mazalot Inc. from any claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

14. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and may request account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or where necessary to protect the App or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

15. Dispute resolution, arbitration, and class-action waiver

Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to go to court and to participate in a class action.

Informal resolution first

Most disputes can be resolved without formal proceedings. Before starting arbitration, you agree to first send a written Notice of Dispute to compliance@mazalot.ai describing the problem and the relief you seek, and to give us 60 days to try to resolve it in good faith. We will do the same before bringing a claim against you.

Agreement to arbitrate

If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and Mazalot agree to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App through final and binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except as stated below. This agreement is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act. The arbitration will be administered by a recognized arbitration provider (such as the American Arbitration Association or JAMS) under its consumer arbitration rules, and may be conducted by phone, video, written submissions, or in person in the county where you live.

Your 30-day right to opt out

You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing compliance@mazalot.ai with your name and a statement that you opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in court as described under "Governing law and venue" below, and the rest of these Terms still apply.

Small-claims carve-out

Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies and stays in that court.

Class-action and jury waiver

You and Mazalot agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims or preside over any class or representative proceeding. You and Mazalot waive the right to a trial by jury.

Coordinated (mass) filings

If 25 or more similar arbitration demands are filed by or with the coordination of the same or similar counsel, the demands will be administered in batches under the arbitration provider's mass-arbitration or supplementary rules, with representative "bellwether" cases heard first and remaining cases stayed (with limitations periods tolled) pending a global resolution.

Governing law and venue

These Terms and any dispute are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. For any dispute not subject to arbitration, or if the arbitration agreement is found not to apply, the exclusive venue is the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing here limits any non-waivable rights you have under the law of your place of residence.

Severability

If any part of this Section 15 is found unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest remains in effect, except that if the class-action waiver above is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, then this entire Section 15 does not apply to that claim, which will instead proceed in court.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and provide notice in the App. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If we make a material change to Section 15 (arbitration), you may reject that change by emailing us within 30 days of the change, in which case the prior version of Section 15 applies.
